tribtown > The kiddie playground at the Brownstown Park is a popular place with the younger set, including Matthew Bottoms, 3. Bottoms spent Wednesday afternoon at the park with his mother, Dawn Stucker. The kiddie playground will be moved to make way for more parking during a federally funded project to renovate the park early next year.
tribtown > Seymour Fire Chief Fred Hines, left, accepts a $2,000 donation from members of the Brownstown Fire Department outside the station Wednesday. Hines is president of the Indiana Burn Camp, which opened 10 years ago. Firefighters present for the check-passing are from left, Assistant Chief Dave Roll, Kim Roll, Lt. Harold Love and Chief Andy Lockman. The funds were raised by the department during the Back-N-Time Car Show on May 31 in Brownstown.
