tribtown > Brownstown Exchange Club members Joe Sheffer and Anne Clodfelter spent Saturday morning keeping the supply of pancakes flowing for the club's annual pancake breakfast held for more than 20 years at Brownstown Central High School. Sheffer also is the principal at Brownstown Central.

The festival began Saturday at Burton's Maplewood Farm near Medora and will continue March 14 and March 15.

tribtown > Cooks at the first National Maple Syrup Festival at Burton's Maplewood Farm where kept busy most of Saturday morning trying to keep up with the demand for pancakes smothered in liquid gold. Saturday was the first day of the four-day festival, designed to promote maple syrup and the Heads Up!!! Foundation. The foundation's goal is to help children with craniofacial anomalies.
