The federal government paid for 80 percent of $1.2 million project to replace the old bridge, which will remain open to foot traffic. Newly elected Jerry Hounshel and Sheriff Marc Lahrman also were on hand for the ceremony. Force Construction Co. Inc. of Columbus built the bridge.
