The one-room schoolhouse was moved, restored and reopened 25 years ago, and there will be a celebration Sept. 20 to mark the occasion. I'll talk with the committee (Barb Johnson heads that up), students visiting the schoolhouse and teachers who have arranged the trip. Why was this project undertaken 25 years ago, what benefit has it served the community and what is in the future of Simmons School?
