Tribune photo by January Wetzel / Sisters and breast cancer survivors Cindy Galbraith, 60, left, and Sheila Stahl, 64, both of Seymour, hold a picture of their mother, Dorothy Ruddick, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec. 2010. She passed away two months later. Stahl was diagnosed just one month after her mother and Galbraith learned on April 7, 2012, that she too had breast cancer. There had been no history of the disease in their family up until their mother. Galbraith is now starting a Road to Recovery program in Jackson County through the American Cancer Society to provide volunteers to drive local cancer patients to and from their treatments.
