John Topper, 76, of Santa Claus, Indiana, served as the marshal in the 72nd annual V-J Day Parade in Seymour on Sunday. Topper is a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars and was inducted into the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame in 2015.
