Submitted photo / A group of women gathered for Oct. 15 for a luncheon for women who are single, widow or divorced at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Some of the women present from left, Arlene Rieckers, Joanne Kerkhof, Bertha Jackson, Carolyn Alberring, DeDee Krebs, Ora Boxman, Joyce Hackman and Rosalie Grabinski, model clothing that matched decorations on the tables used for luncheon. Alberring won a mum after being judged the best model. The clothing worn by the models came from The Cougar's Den and The Clothing Store, both in Seymour. Norma Thiele also took home a mum after she won a game of "What's in your Purse?" After a meal of lasagna, salad and sherbert, Pastor Ralph Blomenberg talked about the seasons and the seasons. Blomenberg and associate pastors, Philip Bloch and Jimmy Rodriquez were recognized as part of Pastor Appreciation Month. Members of the committee were Theresa VonDielingen, Grabinski, Patti Bryant, Sharon Klakamp, Helen Wehmiller and Ann Mahan.
