Tribune submitted photo/ Brownstown racer Scott Patman, who died of cancer on Jan.5, was recognized along with along with a number of other racers including future NASCAR stars Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart, and 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal, during the Hoosier Auto Fans 41st annual presentation dinner on Jan. 31, 1993. Images of each driver were featured on this placemat. Patman was recognized as Bloomington Pro-Stock Champion. The Scott Patman Memorial for street stocks, which will pay $1,000 to win, is planned for May 2 at the Brownstown Speedway.
